COMMON QUESTIONS
My basement gets damp. Can it still be finished?
Not until the water is dealt with. We identify the source first and address grading, drainage or a sump system before finishing, otherwise the finish work fails.
Do I need an egress window?
If the basement will include a bedroom, New Jersey code requires a compliant egress. We’ll tell you exactly what your township expects.
How low can the ceiling be?
We measure before design. Where headroom is tight we re-route ducts or use flush framing details instead of dropping the whole ceiling.
